To create a categorization tree, the first step would be to access the **My Categorizations** option within the **Tools** submenu.

That way, you access the list of the different trees that you havehas created (in this case, you will have authorization *OWNER)* and that any other user has shared (with authorization *GUEST;* a user with Role Administrator will have access to all trees as *OWNER).*> Macro (inline-media-image)



Each Tree has certain options, depending on the authorization that the user has. If the user has Owner authorization, she will have the following options::

- **View it**: allows you to view the tree.
- **Edit**: allows you to modify a specific tree.
- **Activate**: allows you to activate a tree, so it can be displayed on the home screen.
- **Deactivate**: if a tree is active, this option allows you to deactivate it.
- **Share**: allows you to share a tree with other users.
- **Delete**: this option will delete a specific tree, being it deleted also for the rest of the users that have authorization.

In the case of trees where only Guest type authorization is available, only two options will be available: View it, and Activate/Deactivate.

To create a new tree, click on the **New Tree** option, an option that will redirect you to the creation page

Firstly, you must fill in the **Name** field (mandatory field). For this case we will choose *Demo.* When shaping the tree, you have two options:

- Right-clicking will bring up a menu with different options. *Create* will generate a sub-branch, *Rename* allows you to change the name of the node, *Delete* will delete the node, and *Edit* allows you to copy, cut and paste the node.
- By double-clicking with the left button on a node, a menu will open where you can select an element existing in the platform (Ontology, API, Viewer ...) as a tree node, by selecting in *Type* the type of element, and in *Element* a specific element to which the user has access.

For this Demo, the name of the first node will be edited as *Demostración.* From this, we will create two more nodes from the *Create* option that we have just talked about, and we will associate an ontology and a viewer. Once we have the structured tree, just click on the **New** option (in the lower right).

On the other hand, we are going to authorize another user, as we have previously explained. For this, you must select the **Share** option of that tree, so that the following screen will appear:

In the *User* drop-down, select the user with whom you want to share the tree, and in *Authorization Type* the type of permission (currently there is only one type: Guest). Once you've authorized a user, she will appear in the rightside table

where you can see the user, the authorization and the option to *Delete* (which will allow you to withdraw the authorization).

Finally, to see the tree on the home screen, just click on the *Activate* option in the tree list.

If you click on the HelsinkiPopulation Ontology node, you will be redirected to that Ontology display screen.

If a user does not have access to an element associated with a tree, but has permission to use that tree, then those elements for which she did not have access will not be shown to her. On the other hand, if an item were deleted, or changed its name, when displaying it, these changes would be collected.
